Cynthia Barbier Sanchez was graduated from DePauw University, Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Business. She also has a Master of Music Education degree from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Music Degree from Southern Methodist University in Choral Conducting from Lloyd Pfautsch.

Currently, she is Associate Professor and Director of Choral Activities at San Antonio College.  She is also Director of the Mid-Texas Symphony Chorus.

She performs as a vocalist, clinician and conductor for ensembles in the community, and has been soloist on many occasions with the San Antonio Symphony and the Mid-Texas Symphony, which includes a Carnegie Hall performance as alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem.

 At Congregation Israel of San Antonio, Cindy served as our accompanist, mezzo soprano soloist and choir director.
